Anne Dahl is an emerging interdisciplinary artist with a focus on metal sculpture and wearable objects based in Tiohtià:ke (Montréal). She studied Jewellery Design, Metalsmithing, and Intermedia at NSCAD University and is current MFA Sculpture candidate at Concordia University. She has trained internationally in silversmithing and stone sculpture in Indonesia and Germany respectively. Her most recent works take a turn off the body and centres themes of presence, movement, material hierarchies, and physical agencies inspiring the collaboration between body and object from her perspective and history as a jeweller. She creates assemblages with metal, reclaimed stone and wood, often incorporating elements of sound while playing with physical tensions of fragility and weightedness. She has exhibited her work in New York, Montréal, Ottawa, and Toronto and currently sits on the Board of Directors at Ateliers Belleville in Montréal. Her work has been seen in Metalsmith Magazine, Clin D’oeil, FASHION Magazine, and Elle Canada.
